Us By Night 26
Us By Night is a three-night festival in Antwerp, celebrating design and creativity. This year marked their final edition in Antwerp, after ten years. Every night, 3,000 creatives came together for talks and art that made them walk slower, and when the stages went quiet, the whole place turned into a club. Three days before the doors opened, the Waagnatie was still an empty warehouse. As production partner for the full festival, we turned Us By Night's ideas into a physical world you could walk through.
That world had two stages hosting 45 talks. The Teatro stage got a scaffolding balcony wrapped around the entire hall, which made for an elevated viewing spot during the talks. It was also a collab with Antwerp Poster Festival, so when the lights went on again the balcony became a poster exhibition. The rest of the warehouse was made to feel like a playground for creatives, from the XYZ club and the nightmarket to a 70-meter wheatpasting wall and the booths we designed for Figma Weave and Meurisse. Us By Night feels raw and unpretentious on the surface, but it knows exactly what it’s doing.
